They ask “Why do you call for Palestine to be free?”
We say “So all the people can live in harmony
Not some in fancy houses, and others refugees
Keys around their necks for the homes they had to flee.”
They say “What do you mean by the river to the sea?”
We say “That is the land that we’re calling to be free
Free from all the murder, free from all the hate
Not free from any people, no matter what their faith“
And therein lies the difference - we seek to include
Not separate and segregate, and ration peoples’ food
We’re witnessing a Nakba and there’s nothing we can do
But call for a free Palestine - stand up for what is true
